Naomi Hill

Naomi has over 15 years of teaching experience, and 25 years performance experience across 3 continents and in styles ranging from classical to hip-hop to jazz to rock. She has performed in a plethora of venues from small outdoor weddings to the Royal Albert Hall, from fields in Tanzania, to baseball stadiums in the USA.

Naomi performed her first solo concerto in the Ulster Hall, aged just 9. She then went on to win a DfEE scholarship to study at Wells Cathedral School in England where she studied violin with Catherine Lord. Naomi has recently returned to Northern Ireland having lived in Colorado, USA, for 11 years. While in Colorado, Naomi was a member of the highly sought after rock string quartet, Cloud 9 Strings and was a member of several bands, with styles ranging from country to rock, jazz and pop. Naomi also had the opportunity to solo with the Mercury Ensemble in Denver, and to perform with Justin Paul (Greatest Showman, LaLa Land). She has recorded violin, both acoustic and electric, on several albums in both the UK and the USA.

Naomi is passionate about inspiring everybody and anybody to play an instrument and make music. She has worked in schools with children who have learning difficulties, and understands that there is not one way of teaching that will suit every individual. She draws on her experience in both performance and education, to tailor tuition to each student.
